Timeless

Time rushes forward like a frightened animal 

one we can never catch 

The days come and go as breathing 

asphyxiating, confusing 

Suddenly we find ourselves here 

somewhere in space and time  

but certainly away from each other 

by what seems like ages 

After such a long, long time 

it would seem that we’re now strangers 

but I can see it in your eyes 

the glow of those days in the past 

If there are things that seem timeless 

they are memory and imagination 

and in such territories the past lives on 

and now I can find you close again
