Water
In this transactional world
sometimes it’s hard to notice her
even though she’s everywhere
cleansing
penetrating
flowing
wild
Sometimes a soothing medicine
sometimes a cataclysm
she’ll open herself a way
refreshing
nourishing
but sometimes
killing
Her purest form will be transparent
devoid of shape and taste and color
it’s up to you to keep it that way
and absorb her
or dilute
pollute her
or waste her
No man can ever step on her
or end her cycle of rebirth
her pouring from the heavens to the earth
to feed
to free
to fortify
to flow.
