Hunters 

Blistering desire, forever unfulfilled 

the shape-shifting animal keeps getting away 

Despair not, keep up the chase 

you’ll someday catch your fanciful prey 

Sneaking up on ghosts of uncertain hopes 

the hunger has remained still unsatisfied  

Hunters in the past, hunters in the present
